The common cold has been pervasive and universal since before we knew what is was. On top of that it keeps migrating out from under all out medicinal attacks against it. The flu can be a major plague or a short bout in bed with the change of weather and season. This is one medical issue where paying attention to what's going around can help you avoid the more serious consequences, maybe. If you travel, and/or meet the public a lot, paying attention becomes all that more important.
